Joe Enroughty
And His Royal Virginians have been serving Richmond area dancers for quite some
time, and now the orchestra is travelling all across Virginia, Maryland, North
Carolina, and even parts of West Virginia. This 12-piece big band complete with
vocalists, is catching on fast, and dancers are finding it very hard to sit
still!
If you are looking for a big band that plays all the classic hits of The Big Band Era, but also has the ability
to play music from nearly every decade since, you have come to the right place. The Royal Virginians are today's
premier dance band playing danceable music at its best.
Someone once said: "I haven't had this much fun in a very long time..." That person was dancing to the
music of The Royal Virginians. With inviting, danceable arrangements of music from the past 100 years, this band
is the best musical organization to hit Virginia in a very long time.
When people start planning the music for their receptions, parties, or other
special events, The Royal Virginians are
the first big band that comes to mind. Why? Because their excellent musicianship and sparkling, beautiful, danceable
arrangements are perfect for any occasion. This band will bring life to your party. If it's already lively, then
prepare for more!
The Royal Virginians are one of the last traveling Sweet Bands with a "live"
personable leader. Joe Enroughty (pronounced En-Ruff-Tee), age 30, conducts his
musicians superbly and provides a lively atmosphere for dancers and listeners
alike. The orchestra consists of 12 very talented musicians. The latest
addition to the band is our female vocalist, The Lovely Miss Julie Fay, who wows
the audience with such standards as "Don't Get Around Much Anymore,"
"You Light Up My Life," and "They Can't Take That Away From Me," just to name a
few.
