Joe Enroughty And His Royal Virginians

It all started when…

The Royal Virginians Big Band was founded in 2004 by an energetic young band leader from Richmond, Virginia named Joe Enroughty. Today the orchestra boasts some of the area's top musicians and has a reputation for providing quality musical entertainment that is very affordable.

The Royal Virginians, under the direction of Joe Enroughty, continue to be the leader in Big Band entertainment for the Mid-Atlantic region. The orchestra performs music made famous by many of the "name bands" of the Big Band Era including: Guy Lombardo, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Harry James, Russ Morgan, Jan Garber, and many more. The orchestra also performs songs associated with The Beatles, The Carpenters, Barry Manilow, Jimmy Buffett, and Celine Dion, among others. All performed in a very danceable Big Band style. Vocalist Deborah Leone adds to the musical splendor of the orchestra and brings to life many of the greatest popular songs of our time. Songs like "Unforgettable," "Exactly Like You," "Stardust," “Relax Max,” “Mamma’s Gone, Goodbye,” “Tangerine,” and “Dream” are just a sampling of the many selections Deborah can perform for you. You'll hear songs associated with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Helen O’Connell, Keely Smith, Judy Garland, Michael Bublé, and more!

Recently, the orchestra has traveled to the Washington, D.C. and Maryland areas, Charlottesville, Williamsburg, and many other localities beyond their home base of Richmond, Virginia. Whether it be the elegant Historic Homestead Hotel in Hot Springs, Va. or the Swank Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., we are the premiere choice for any event and location.
